I have been interested in mosaic art since a friend asked me to take a five week mosaic course with her.  Over 25 years later, my friend’s half completed mosaic mirror is still under her bed waiting to be finished, but I couldn’t stop.

Since then I have gone on to exhibit and sell work in various galleries around the South West, and have undertaken a number of privately commissioned pieces and have been involved in several education and community art projects.

I am a founding member of South West Mosaic Artists, a growing group of mosaic artists who’s aim is to highlight and showcase the enormous diversity of styles bring to the art form. The group holds exhibitions annually.

I am also a professional member of BAMM, British Association for Modern Mosaic. An organisation that promotes, encourages and supports excellence in contemporary mosaic art.

I was very proud to be featured in the Autumn 2018 edition of Engish Riviera Magazine.. Click on the picture (right) to read the full article.

For many years I ran a weekly art and craft class for people with learning disabilities at Torquay Community College, and we became joint winners of the TRAIL Award for Community Art in the South West.

Also in 2018 I was thrilled to be a wildcard entry into the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year at Viking Bay, Broadstairs in Kent and was filmed with Joan Bakewell, shown in the video clip.

In 2005 I worked with local schools on a large mosaic mural to welcome home and away fans to Plainmoor, home of Torquay United Football Club.
